There, now that’s more like it. A photo of grandfather Arenal, the fuming volcano just around the corner from where I’ll be living, suits much better than the snap of a Norwegian fjord excursion. Now If I could just get something to eat. Thanks for your input, Mr. Simmons.

Right, so, this is just going to be a little something or something just to set this thing off right. The idea here, in case you were wondering, is to catalog my food/travel experiences in, what our country would call, our own back yard. The food in Central America can be more beautiful and exotic than you could imagine and I’ve decided that the only way to prove it is to eat everything in my path. If that means I’ve got to eat pig face soup and horse sausage to impress you, then, dang it, I will.
Be patient please as this is a very young site, I’m no internet wizard, and I’ve not yet left the states. There are tons of little tricks I need to learn about having my own web site but at least it looks like the first Latin American installments will be posted from Cuba. Oooooh…food from behind “enemy” lines. Fingers crossed.
The schedule, once I get started, is to have this update every Sunday and Wednesday so thanks for checking in. What will be your spark in life?
PS-yes I know that’s a fjord pictured above, a landscape very far from Central America but it sure is pretty ain’t it? Just give me a minute and I’ll have something a bit more pertinent.
